Halves Issue 2 | ( Photography )
Damaged Goods Zine released their second installment of “Halves”, their digital magazine with twice the imagery and ‘half’ the amount of words compared to a print mag. For this issue of Halves, the boys packed up a truck full of Corona, boards, boys, cameras and lost themselves out west somewhere between Raglan and Taranaki, NZ. This documents their week, which looks amazing. Apparently they surfed 5 days straight without another soul in the water. Unheard of right! Anyway, enough words. Click below, full-size it and start planning your next getaway.

Surfing with Brixton | ( Photography )
Last week we had the pleasure of entertaining the guys from Brixton, California. The main guys behind the brand were on a whirlwind tour of Australasia and were kind enough to hang with us for a couple of days. We’re long-time fans of the brand and everything they stand for, the image, culture and of course, their clothing so it was nice to meet the actual humans that make Brixton happen. We had an hour spare before they flew back to L.A so we took them out west to the beautiful Muriwai beach. Photos courtesy of Hodds at INTHEDRINK.BIZ // gnarl.

Proxy Noise #6 | ( Photography )
Pro surfers and sometimes photographers, Dion Agius and Warren Smith run an online magazine called Proxy Noise. It is a digital scrap book of travel photos, grainy images of girls, landscapes, friends and everything in-between. They have recently put together their 6th issue which covers the aforementioned subjects. All their photographs in this series have been shot on film, which is a pretty damned good effort. Hit ‘expand’ now!
Hamburger Cemetery | ( Photography )
Our old mate Ben Ward, who used to hold down White Box Boutique is now residing in the sunnier, Sydney, where he works for Monster Children magazine. He’s been on the go recently, getting creative in Mexico and working on projects with Corona, the lucky beggar. Ben is now on holiday in the big ol’ US of A and has been updating his blog, Hamburger Cemetery, with a bit of a photo journal of the trip. Here are some of our favourite images.

The Day The World Stopped | ( Photography )
I was walking through the Intermediate gates this day, 11 years ago when my friend, Kirk, explained to me “America has been bombed”. As the day progressed, our teachers broke down what had actually happened in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania. After school, like most others around the world, I sat and watched hours of news footage from the attacks on New York’s Trade Towers. Over a decade later, the tragic images of 9/11 are still with us, as poignant and captivating as they were after school that day in September, 2011. Below are images from 9/11, gathered by the photo editors of TIME. See the full photo-essay here.

Shutter Pirates | ( Photography )
The Shutter Pirates are Tim & Joe, a couple of young blokes from Auckland, that like taking photos and writing words about their images. They put on an open-exhibition last week with free beer. Below are some of our favourite shots plus an edit of their event.
